DISTINGUISHED LAWYER MEMORIAL
The Distinguished Lawyer Memorial (DLM) gives special and permanent recognition to recently deceased lawyers and judges whose professional, public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of the community and the maintenance and support of the major objectives of the San Diego County Bar Foundation (SDCBF). Those major objectives include providing access to legal services, improving the administration of justice and the San Diego Court system, and promoting public understanding of the law in the underserved populations of San Diego County.
Inclusion in the Distinguished Lawyer Memorial is a professional honor. Invitations to submit nominations for induction into the DLM are extended to families, friends, and colleagues of lawyers and judges who have passed in the previous two years and who meet the criteria of a DLM Honoree. DLM Honorees are selected by the Board of Directors of the San Diego County Bar Foundation through careful consideration of the information provided with the Nomination forms.
2024 Distinguished Lawyer Memorial Nomination Application
To be considered for induction into the Distinguished Lawyer Memorial for 2024, Nomination forms must be received on or before 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, 2023.

ENSURING ACCESS TO JUSTICE
In our effort to ensure that the work the Honoree was committed to during their distinguished career will continue well into the future, the SDCBF encourages colleagues, friends and family to make a contribution to the Foundation in remembrance of the Honoree.
