ELJ 2023 | AN EVENING IN LA JOLLA

An Evening in La Jolla

26th Annual: An Evening in La Jolla
Saturday, September 23, 2023 | 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
at Birch Aquarium

An Evening in La Jolla (ELJ) is the San Diego legal community’s signature benefit that raises funds to ensure that immigrants and asylum seekers, low-income communities, survivors of domestic violence, people with disabilities, veterans, the homeless, low-income seniors and at-risk youth have access to legal services and a legal system that serves them well.

This year’s ELJ event is being hosted at the beautiful Birch Aquarium grounds. This one-of-a-kind facility includes more than 60 diverse marine habitats and features a two-story Giant Kelp Forest, where guests feel surrounded by the ocean world. Attendance numbers will align with state and county public health guidelines for outdoor events as we keep our guests and staff’s health and safety top of our minds.

Your participation in ELJ directly supports the San Diego County Bar Foundation’s grant program that has provided over $5 million in funding to over 50 legal aid and public interest organizations throughout the county. The San Diego County Bar Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. Therefore, your contributions may be tax deductible.

In 2022, SDCBF awarded $448,500 to 24 non-profit organizations providing legal services, public awareness education, and justice for the most underserved populations in San Diego County. A list of grant recipients may be viewed at sdcbf.org/grant-programs.

All proceeds benefit the San Diego County Bar Foundation and the legal charities it supports.
